Intel veya (İntel), ABD merkezli, dünyanın en büyük mikroişlemci üreten firması ve en bilinen mikroişlemci markası. Firma, 1968 yılında Gordon E. Moore tarafından kurulmuştur.
İlk olarak 1971 yılında Intel 4004mikroişlemcisiyle piyasaya çıkmıştır. Günümüzde, bilgisayarların %90'ında İntel işlemcilerinin kullanılması, önceden sadece bilgisayar üreticilerinin bildiği mikroişlemci markasını, kullanıcılara da öğreten İntel inside (İçeride İntel) reklam kampanyası sayesinde olmuştur. Şirketin piyasa değeri 150 milyar dolar olarak tahmin edilmektedir.
İntel, AMD'nin 1995 yılından sonraki sürecinden olumsuz etkilenmiş. Piyasadaki hakim işlemci olma özelliğini yitirmiştir. 1995 yılından sonra AMD'nin araştırma geliştirme faaliyetlerine ağırlık vermesiyle masaüstü bilgisayarlarda kullanılmak üzere ilk olarak 64 bit işlemcileri piyasaya sürmüştür.
